It can be scary to learn a new language, but the good news is that you probably know some English words already. To help you get started, there are three main types of words: · Nouns are the name of a place, person, or thing. E.g. Mexico, restaurant, man, mother, dog, table. · Adjectives describe a noun. E.g. large, beautiful, intelligent, red, cold, sunny · Verbs are actions. E.g. laugh, write, cook, open, speak, watch There are other types of words and even verbs that are not actions, but we will learn these as we go through the course. Sentences are created using a combination of nouns, adjectives, and verbs. Try the practice to see if you can identify the different words types within the sentences.
